The funding model for our historic cemeteries is broken. There are literally thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, and sometimes millions of people alive today who share DNA in common with someone buried in a certain cemetery. It's not fair for us as Americans to take advantage of those few individuals who are bearing the financial burden for OUR sacred burial sites. If you're not going to participate in the managerial oversight of a cemetery, then please help those who are caring for your ancestors' graves by contributing a few dollars to defray costs.
